Rock Island Line

A „Rock Island” nevű vasútvonalon a tizenkilencedik század közepén indultak először vonatok, és csak az 1970-es évek végén tűntek el róla.

Rock Island Line

That Rock Island Line train from new Orleans, coming back this way. That depot agent gonna throw that switchboard over the track. That means that Rock Island Line Train gotta go in a hole. That man don’t wanna stop that train, he gonna talk to the depot agent with his whistle. This is what he gonna tell him: “I got cows, I got horses, I got sheep, I got hogs, I got all live stock, I got all live stock.” That man gonna let that train pass by. When that Rock Island Line Train gets by, the engineer will talk back to the depot agent with his whistle again. This is what he gonna say: “I thank you, I thank you, I thank you, I thank you.” That Rock Island Line Train is getting on down the road.

But you gonna miss me when I’m dead and gone.

Glory to God, I’m gonna meet him again.
